The mountain-dwelling Stormclaw Clan has been ripped apart by a terrible tragedy, and now stands upon the brink of civil war. Their totem animal – a massive, winged wolf – has gone insane after the loss of its rider, and now bars them from a vital trade route, savaging all who approach. Without trade, the clan will starve, but without their totemic beast, they will be spiritually lost, and so their leaders bicker incessantly over what to do. The rider, though, still lives, trapped and dying, and while they argue any hope of rescuing him slowly slips away. To save the clan from itself, the characters must navigate its tense politics and confront the raging beast that guards The Howling Peaks…This module is an adventure designed for a party of five level 3 characters, and takes them to level 4. It can plug easily into an existing campaign or be run as a short (3-5 sessions) standalone adventure.Additionally, this adventure also acts as Part I of The Star of Winter, a three-part campaign
