With a splosh you find your way down the greasy ladder and alongside the rotten tunnel. The air is stifling, charged with putrid fumes and the musty scent of sewage water. Dead animals and cast away litter flow alongside the narrow edge, washing away with everything this city has forgotten : its rubbish, its broken furniture, its broken citizens. The ill, the criminals, the exiled hide away in these tunnels, not far away from monsters' lairs and age old ruins belonging to dead civilisations.
