Welcome to New America, an alternate past to our own in which the chemical fallout from World War III led to an explosion of crime in the US. Coupled with the war, it drove America towards totalitarianism. New York is now the nation's prison, where madmen, murderers, thieves, and all of New America’s undesirables are walled off from the rest of society and left to their own devices. It is a place of darkness and corruption, but also one where there is great opportunity for adventure and heroism.
